Q & A's Engagement

Hey friends!

This past weekend, I had an engagement shoot with Qian and Alex! Alex reached out to me and wanted to propose at Boston College–where they met and fell in love!

I was a little nervous with the weather here in Boston being so bizarre, but it turned out to be the most perfect overcast day–just enough clouds in the sky to cover up the sun. The campus was green and lush all over, too! My favorite part was when Alex brought Qian back to his room to surprise her with all her friends. They swarmed the both of them with hugs and balloons–it was too sweet!

Here are a few of my favorite shots from their session. Congratulations on your engagement, Qian and Alex! Thank you for letting me be a part of your special day!

J & D's Engagement

Hey friends!

It's been a long, long time. But winter is finally over and no more hibernating! This past weekend, the sun and all its warmth finally decided to come out in Boston. It was seriously the most perfect timing for an engagement mini session!

Way back in January, I had decided to offer free mini sessions to revamp my photography portfolio. To be honest, I don't really know where all of this is going! But I do know that couple sessions are my absolute. fav. Jenn and Dan were the first ones to reach out to me, and we decided to wait until it got a bit warmer up here before venturing out and taking some hot pix. We met at Harvard Arboretum only to find the entire place completely dead, EXCEPT this one little corner of lush trees near the entrance! There were baby pine cones and wild flowers popping out of the ground–we felt so lucky to have this little corner to ourselves!

Here are just a handful that I wanted to share with y'all. Enjoy!

J & A's Engagement

Hi friends!

Fall has been so packed with photoshoots that's for sure! A couple of weeks ago, I got to be a part of something so special–the engagement of a sweet friend of mine! I'll admit that I was pretty nervous for this one since there were lots of secrets involved. Lots. Lots of hiding. Lots of anxiety. And lots of uncertainty about where I need to be and if the lighting was even going to be good. But I quickly learned that the most important thing that I could do as the photographer is create a space where everyone could be themselves! I loved capturing Jen & Andrew's smiles in every single picture–they seriously couldn't stop. Everything about it was magical. Here are a few of my favorite snaps!

Congratulations, Jen & Andrew!

Baby A's Baptism

Hi friends!

It's been a while! Currently typing with cheese and salami fingers while I stuff my face before I head out. I wanted to share a few of my favorite snaps from Baby A's baptism! It was such a treat getting to photograph Haemin, Dave and their beautiful family. I tried to capture some of the sweetest moments–my favorites were always the closeups of Baby A because you can see the warmth of Haemin and Dave's smiles in the back. Enjoy!

Hey y'all!

This past weekend I took a trip down to Alabama for a sweet old friend's wedding! It had been nearly 6 years since I've stepped foot in my hometown–crazy! It was so great to catch up with old friends and, of course, celebrate the beautiful marriage of someone near and dear to my heart. I was giggling like a maniac while Pete drove through town because so much had changed, but then again it didn't (like Lil' Rosies–still amazing). We decided to make a trip out of it and stop by Nashville for just the day because there's hot chicken there, and I'll pretty much do anything to get my hot chicken fix. It was literally a food marathon! Here are some snaps from our trip (mainly food–I was supposed to use my DSLR but ended up taking maybe 5 pictures on that thing...I'm getting lazy!)

Next adventure will be Portland, Maine in a couple of weeks–let me know if I should see and eat anything in particular!

Ruby & David Moodboard

Hi friends!

It's finally starting to feel like summer in Boston, and you know what that means! *church bells*

I've been working on a handful of wedding invitations for this summer and fall. Here is a moodboard I got together for Ruby and David! I love working with cool tones...

Happy Friday! xo

Bloomville, NY

Hi there! I got to spend this past weekend in Bloomville with a dear friend of mine. We initially planned this trip for November but had to reschedule in March. I'm so glad we did because the weather was beautiful–it was worth the wait!

We stayed in the attic above Table on Ten, probably the most charming place I've ever been. It was a much needed trip for sure–like you have no idea how nice it was to not have to think twice about anything besides what kind of pizza we should order for dinner.

On Saturday, we ventured out to Hudson and spent the entire day walking up and down Warren Street. A few of my favorites:

Valley Variety
Bonfiglio & Bread
Talbott & Arding Cheese and Provisions
Food Studio
Red Chair on Warren

Now I'm back in Boston feeling well-rested and ready to get back to it. Happy Monday, friends!
